Our Kanata studio is located at 329 March Road, right above the Home Hardware. The door to the second level is located to the right of the entrance to Home Hardware.

Murph Hickey is a talented hard-of-hearing performing artist with a dynamic career spanning film, theatre, and television. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Acting from the University of Ottawa and a Master’s Degree from East 15 Acting School in London, UK. Murph has gained recognition for her standout performances in Butchers Book 3: Bonesaw, the Hometown Mysteries trilogy, T&E’s Haunted Hospitals, and as Touchstone in As You Like It. She also created and starred in her self-produced web series, High and Lows. Known for her enthusiastic and empathetic approach to storytelling, Murph is deeply passionate about using her craft to connect with and inspire her community. Starting January, Murph will be teaching classes at both studios including an afters school class on Thursdays in Kanata and Saturday classes in the Glebe. Murph is also passionate about Shakespeare and will be leading an adult class on Sundays.

Our showcase course is perfect for those wanting to push thier acting to new heights and experience the thrill of performing in front of an audience. In this 7-week course, actors will be cast in a play or series of scenes from contemporary plays, fully rehearse and then take part in a live performance in the studio for an invited audience.

Create & Perform!
In this fun and engaging class, young actors (ages 7-10) will dive into the exciting world of theatre as they rehearse and perform a short play or a series of scenes. Over the course of the program, students will learn the basics of acting, rehearsing, and working as a team to bring a story to life. From exploring characters to creating costumes and props, kids will get hands-on experience with every aspect of putting on a show.
