Our Kanata studio is located at 329 March Road, right above the Home Hardware. The door to the second level is located to the right of the entrance to Home Hardware.

Cara is a local Ottawa actor, singer, creator and teacher. She is currently developing a modern
adaptation of Romeo and Juliet ,teaches for The Ottawa Childrens Theatre . Some Ottawa
acting credits include Ottawa Musicals Annual Panto - The Humbug Hustle, her annual Holiday
Comedy Cabaret; Christmas Sisters and Into the Woods with Ovation Productions. Selected
credits include; Fräulein Schneider in Cabaret (Ovation Productions) Stephano/ Alonzo in The
Tempest ( A Company of Fools) She Mrs. Hardcastle in Stoops to Conquer ( St.Lawrence
Shakespeare Festival), Rona Lisa in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Cara
originated the role of Portia in the premiere production of Shorelines. Cara has taught acting,
improv, music theatre for numerous schools across Ontario and has developed workshops and
programs many schools. She has been teaching for over 20 years and loves to share her
passion for story telling, creating and drama with her students.
Cara will be leading the Musical Theatre Encore course staring May 14!
Each summer, Kanata Acting Studio offers a variety of exciting summer camps for children and teens! From creative drama camps for younger children to advanced performance camps for older kids and teens, our programs are designed to meet students at their skill level. In a fun and encouraging environment, participants explore the performing arts, work with talented professional instructors, build confidence, make new friends, and grow as performers.

Our showcase course is perfect for those wanting to push thier acting to new heights and experience the thrill of performing in front of an audience. In this 7-week course, actors will be cast in a play or series of scenes from contemporary plays, fully rehearse and then take part in a live performance in the studio for an invited audience. This unique course offers participants an opportunity to learn the practical process of acting through rehearsal, stage blocking and performance preperation.
