Located at 738A Bank St., between First & Second Ave., in the heart of the Glebe, our downtown Studio offers a wide range of acting and musical theatre classes for all ages.

Now in its 14th amazing year, this popular afternoon improv class invites participants aged 55 and over to discover the joy, creativity, and connection that come from acting without a script!


Whether you're brand new to improv or a returning enthusiast, you'll explore the fundamentals of spontaneous performance—including the essential “Yes, And” rule that fuels imagination, positivity, and collaboration. Through fun and accessible improv games, playful scene work, and supportive group exercises, you’ll learn how to think on your feet, tap into your creativity, and build confidence—all while sharing plenty of laughter.

This acting and improv class is a fantastic outlet for social and creative energy, all while feeling safe and encouraged in a small group setting. In this class, students develop acting, improv and comedy skills including ensemble-building, storytelling, voice, movement and character creation. Not only are students expanding their physical, vocal, and communication skills, but they are also learning transferable skills such as confidence, focus, listening, and trust building. This is a fun class for absolute beginners and those who have taken previous classes.
